Wind Rose was recorded in Upstate New York with a five-stars team: Steve Swallow, Clifford Carter (James Taylor), Ira Coleman (Sting, Dee dee Bridgewater), Leo Amuedo (Ivan Lins, Chris Botti), Cyro Baptista (Paul Simon, Yo-yo Ma, Herbie Hancock). The producer, Gary Burke (Bob Dylan), says: “Susana Raya is the most accomplished debut artist I have ever come across in all the years I have been doing this. She can sing, she can play and she can write. A triple threat as we say here in the States.”

INHALO
Joining the progressive hard rock band INHALO is, for me, a journey into unexplored but exciting territory. Completely new sounds with a different energy flow and interaction with band members. There’s a powerful sense of camaraderie. Connecting an overdriven guitar riff with the full force of the drummer and bassist backing it up is cathartic. Kind of a tribal spirit that connects me with something very profound.
INHALO
Inhalo, the first signing on Construction Records, is an emerging band that is taking the prog scene by storm after the release of their debut album Sever in 2022. The album received the IO-Pages’ ‘Prog Award 2022′, Aardschok Magazine’s ‘Eremetaal’ and Heaven Magazine’s ‘Album Of The Week’ to name just some feats of arms.
SONGS WITH MY FATER
A tribute to my first musical influence, my dad.
It all began as a Christmas present: I took my dad into a studio to record some songs together. It was a way to express my gratitude for the love for music he passed to me.
He learnt to play guitar with some “strings” made of wool attached to a piece of wood that he built. He practised at his grandmother’s house because his father was not so fan of his musical adventures. Now I wanted him to feel like a real artist, a star!
SONGS WITH MY FATHER
Susana and her Dad sound deeply warm and empathetic and their mutual joy in being together to make music is very obvious. The recording production has rendered an intimate sound which makes me feel like a welcome guest in a family home full of love.
